Tank Johnson signs with the Cowboys

Well, it appears Jerry Jones has finally decided to put the passing up of Randy Moss in the draft by signing a player with some incredible baggage. Tank Johnson, the Bears' troubled defensive tackle, has reportedly been signed by the Cowboys according to his agent. Johnson is a beast in the middle, no doubt, but he can't play until November because he's serving an 8-game suspension for violating his probation with firearms charges.

With Jason Ferguson out for the year and Jay Ratliff starting at nose tackle now, I suppose Jones will do whatever it takes to solidify his defensive front, and I can't say I really blame him.

The worst that can happen is the guy comes in and causes problems and gets arrested again. Then you just cut him loose. I seriously doubt they're going to be paying Tank too much money.

I like the move for the Cowboys, but Tank can't even go to the Cowboys' facilities until November, so time will tell if this works out.
